So the weeks, and months, and quarters and semesters have flown by. More papers are cluttered about the classroom floor and I find myself looking at the clock a lot more (tick, tick, tick it's 9:05).
I have to say the end of the year is a lot more exciting b/c I will be kicking gluts on glaciers, 4 seater planes, climbing up 3 m rope ladders to get onto cruise ships and maybe putting my bear survival training to good use; I AM GOING TO BE A RANGER IN ALASKA THIS SUMMER!! I can't wait to see an Aurora; there's bound to be GREEN in there and then the WHITE from the glacier!
Because of the persistence of a Jersey-born teacher (she sounds scarier than she really is; she does go to prison every Friday though.....) I have been on our school district website and will be featured in our county newspaper, The Ledger, THIS SUNDAY!
Now I am officially a published DORK! But I look pretty bad gluts holding that snake (the non-venomous part pulls down my street cred a bit....)!
I leave for Alaska around the 13th (thank goodness I'm not paying for my flight) and I will be in my green and brown winter wear for the summer (doesn't sound right, does it?)! But, I'll be the tannest person there!
This is where I will be posting all of my adventures and mishaps and where you'll see my learning curve with a lot of new and wondrous things.... I now have Charlie and the Chocolate Factory's "ding, ding, ding.... ding, ding, ding, ding If you want to view paradise" in my head....
