Discovery Center Tram Tour Photos

Yesterday I took a tram tour through Circle B Bar Reserve.  I learned about the history of the property and the plants and animals that live together on the property.  I have listed a few of the things I learned while on the trip (I learned HEAPS of imformation!!).

  • Oak trees can live 350-400 years
  • Armadillo's are not native to Florida (they originated in South America)
  • Our state tree is the Cabbage Palm
  • The aquatic plant duck weed helps filter and clean water
  • Eagles make a nest that is the same size as a queen-sized bed
  • There are 4,000 alligators in Lake Hancock
  • There is a bobcat on the reserve and panthers have been seen too!
