Yesterday I took a tram tour through Circle B Bar Reserve. I learned about the history of the property and the plants and animals that live together on the property. I have listed a few of the things I learned while on the trip (I learned HEAPS of imformation!!).
- Oak trees can live 350-400 years
- Armadillo's are not native to Florida (they originated in South America)
- Our state tree is the Cabbage Palm
- The aquatic plant duck weed helps filter and clean water
- Eagles make a nest that is the same size as a queen-sized bed
- There are 4,000 alligators in Lake Hancock
- There is a bobcat on the reserve and panthers have been seen too!
